OETC Wins 11 Gold Medals at Nationals!
The USAT Junior Olympics National Championship consisted of 2800 of the best Taekwondo competitors from around the country and took place at the Austin Convention Center from Tuesday June 30- July 5th. The Junior Olympics is a key part of the pipeline for becoming a national team member and being groomed as a future Olympian. The event was hosted by USAT. The USAT is headquarted in Olympic Training Center at Colorado Springs, CO. and is the National Governing Body for Taekwondo as an Olympic Sport.

Junior Olympics Results: Day 2 "GOLD RUSH"
USAT Junior Olympics National Taekwondo Championships

Congratulations to Austin Finley, Hannah Brown, Ian Brown, Kelsey Rodgers and Rachel Rodgers. On Thursday all five competitors started the day by sweeping all of their respective divisions in forms earning FIVE out of five possible gold medals!
Hannah Brown was the only competitor from our team participating in the board breaking competition. She broke broke four out of five boards in a flurry of axe kicks, gymnastics and jumping techniques earning Second Place in Blue Belt Breaking.
In Sparring 10 yr old Matt Fagan led the way in an exhibition match against a 13 yr old. Matt was not competing for a medal, since he had already won a gold medal in his 10 yr old division on Tuesday. Rachel Rodgers earned 2nd place in 14 yr old female red belt sparring. Ian brown won third in the 12 yr old male blue belt division. Austin Finley won third place in the male 14 yr old red belt division and Kelsey Rodgers won the Gold Medal in the female 17 yr old red belt division.
Sisters Rachel and Kelsey Rodgers won Omaha Elite Taekwondo's final Gold Medal in the Team Forms competition.
In two days, eight competitors from Omaha Elite Taekwondo placed in a remarkable 16 out of 18 events earning 11 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals and 2 Bronze Medals.

All three competed today and each took home a gold medal at the USAT
Jr. Olympic National Taekwondo Championships!
Dylan won first in 10-11 yr old blue belt forms and 4th in Board Breaking.
Matt had no other competitors in his red belt sparring division, moved
up to black belt and won gold in sparring.
Vivek won Gold in 10-11 yr old Red Belt forms and placed 3rd in sparring.
